A Farewell to Arms is a 1957 American DeLuxe Color CinemaScope dramatization film coordinated by Charles Vidor. Film Story: Frederick Henry (Rock Hudson) is an American officer serving in a rescue vehicle unit for the Italian Army amid World War I. While recouping from an injury in a British base clinic in northern Italy, he is watched over by Catherine Barkley (Jennifer Jones), a Red Cross medical attendant he had met before, close to the front, and they take part in an issue. Frederick's companion, the specialist, persuades the armed force that Frederick's knee is more seriously injured than it really is and the two proceed with their sentiment yet never get hitched.
