Film Story: Compelled to surrender his territory and his exclusive home, cranky Texas farmer Red Bovie (Robert Duvall) isn't going to go discreetly to the grim trailer stop that is everything he can now manage, and rather runs off with his grandson Gally (child of his since a long time ago irritated child Jimmy) for a street excursion to Old Mexico. Patty tries to help them return undetected over the outskirt with the cash, yet the hit-man makes up for lost time with them and takes it. They seek after him, then they seek after another hit-man who has taken the cash thusly. As Red and Patty's friendship develops, Red starts to lose interest, yet Gally, looking for his character after the demise of his dad, takes up the interest in his place. They in the long run overwhelm the second hit man and recoup the cash. Patty welcomes Red to live with her in her residential community where she was conceived in northern Mexico. He acknowledges and is cheerful to run with her, realizing that with $150,000, they will live like eminence. As they go separate ways and Gally comes back to the U.S., Red tells Gally that he has "got himself a grandson".
